I mean, Suso is not that bad. but a 21M investment with zero resale value and not much contribution to team’s league position,
plus that 25M for Rony Lopes, is probably a big reason why the club has so many debt today.
just my personal take on “the worst” transfer.

The club was at a time where they had some cash in hand and wanted to be one of the “big boys”. A dozen terrible purchases later and the club is still paying for these splurges. The honor list includes Idrissi, Dabbur, Wober, Oscar Rodriguez and Oliver Torres.
And how could I forget Muriel, dude was pissing me off both in real life and FM. Stressful few seasons there.
