Scotland qualified for their first world cup since France 98 after beating Denmark 4 - 2. In atypical Scottish behaviour they overtook Denmark to win the group with some of the best goals ever seen by the tartan army. Here’s the highlights

My country, Kosovo, did the unthinkable in a very strong qualifying group beating Sweden twice, Slovenia away and drawing against Switzerland at home. Then went on to beat Slovakia away in the playoffs in a 3-4 absolute drama.
We overly respected Turkey in the final, who were definitely not the better team on the pitch. On paper they had players like Calhanoglu, Yildiz, Guler, Celik etc. but they were totally neutralized in the game.
A lucky flick goal of Turkey with a lot of unlucky chances from our side meant that Kosovo lives to fight another day and hope to qualify in a major tournament. We were very close, but more importantly, during this campaign we gained a great coach in Franco Foda, composed a strong team that play like a top 30 FIFA ranked national team - just a bit of luck is needed for a bright future.
I have never travelled more for football reasons. Beside attending all home matches even though our national stadium holds only 13k people where often the ticket requests exceeded 60-70k (in the last match there were over 400k requests), I also attended the matches in Ljubljana (Slovenia) and Bratislava (Slovakia). Kudos to the locals of these countries for being very correct with us foreign fans.
I was also very emotionally invested in the Kosovo NT players. I watched them play with their clubs whenever I could. Regularly watches matches of Hoffenheim, Como, Mallorca, Napoli etc. where our boys played.
On to the next adventure!
