European Competitions

I saw this over on reddit and thought it was quite interesting, especially when a significant amount of press is directed towards the Premier League. Don’t get me wrong, the PL has some tough competition, but it hasn’t really translated to a lot of wins in European Competition. Money can buy a lot of players and increase the salaries within that league, but money is not the only factor to winning trophies.

La Liga: 36 trophies out of 70 possible which translates to 51.43%

Real Madrid: 7 UCL + 5 USC

FC Barcelona: 4 UCL + 3 USC

Atletico Madrid: 3 UEL + 3 USC

Sevilla: 7 UEL + 1 USC

Valencia CF: 1 UEL + 1 USC

Villarreal: 1 UEL

Premier League: 13 trophies out of 70 possible which translates to 18.57%

Liverpool: 2 UCL + 1 UEL + 3 USC

Chelsea: 2 UCL + 2 UEL + 1 USC

Man utd: 1 UCL + 1 UEL

Bundesliga: 6 trophies out of 70 possible which translates to 8.57%

Bayern Munich: 3 UCL + 2 USC

Eintracht Frankfurt: 1 UEL

Serie A: 6 trophies out of 70 possible which translates to 8.57%

Ac Milan: 2 UCL + 2 USC

Inter Milan: 1 UCL

As Roma: 1 UECL

Another interesting stats is that there has been no winners from Ligue 1 during this period of time [2000-2023] in Europe

1 USC awaiting in August!

If by any chance it’s Inter, we’re winning it. Against City… not sure :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s strange to think that the USC could be a rematch of a group stage game
