Munir no power again, not a bad shooting attempt. Our control has been quite good, not too many duels, and pace not too high either. Good for us.
Think generally Oliver has been providing and supporting well.
I hate that new poop league below the EUL. I have all those football TV pack stuff and can’t watch Sevilla Europa League because they have to show those stupid Dutch teams in that league no-one gives a flyin F about.
Jesus. The way this broadcaster pronounces “Lopetegui” is grating.
How the fuck did that hand ball not get called? Ref was right there and side judge.
it wasn´t far of body.
Not too bad. Decent control and some chances or half chances. Just careful for those set pieces and breaks. Expected west ham to be more decisive and powerfull on those. But we are on top of those moments quite good so far.
I’m disappointed with that first half. Appreciate we’re depleted but we were once again far too conservative with our play and allowed West Ham to settle. Thought they more than held their own and created a few chances of their own.
We need to see more urgency in the second half as I really think a win is needed going into the away tie!
Would like to see Mir for En-Nesyri asap, preferably even after half-time. Doesn’t seem like YEN will score or do much in the box again.
Perhaps Martial for Munir after 60 minutes too, he played v WHam often enough and should be able to stretch their back line a bit more.
We have looked solid in defence and ok in possession. The usual story though as we lack urgency, creativity and energy in the attacking phase.
We need to win this or I feel we in big trouble for the 2nd leg. A big 45 mins ahead to probably decide our fate for the tie.
Midfield is surely lacking, doesn’t deliver the ball to the front quick enough and no creativity.
And West Ham is playing very carefully but even then their xG is higher than us.
Martial second half early on please.
Bono almost added to the ‘injured group’.
Is Martial available? Too bad that Rakitic won’t be able to play this one, there’s not enough circulation in the midfield and we’re not doing much from the wings. Oliver has been a total disappointment so far.
Both teams playing as expected, a cagey one and whichever team scores first will make a huge difference.
There isn’t any midfield from what I can see, which isn’t a surprise without Fernando and Rakitic and a forward having to drop into it. You think our injury situation can’t get worse and it does.
I think they might’ve checked it had it been inside the box, but for outside the ref didn’t bother. Also it looked like a powerful shot straight at the hand, not far from the body.
Literally only Jordan and Gudelj are ‘real’ midfielders and Gudelj is already covering at CB. Oliver is more of an AM player and he’s too weak physically to make a difference in the center of the midfield. Quite risky there.
He got well onto some headers, atleast more than I expected to begin with. But definitely agree.
Guldelj hasn’t been able to handle Antonio in the mismatch there, missing Diego Carlos and defensive midfielder shield badly at times.
Need to deal with Antonio better in second half, he’s their main weapon in attack.
Next leg we’ll have at least Delaney back (hopefully no injuries, you never know at this point) and maybe Rakitic too, so it will be more stable there.
I’d field Mir in the second half, Martial too of course if he’s ready.
Corona should stay on, no matter what
Yeah, he’s been terrorized by Antonio quite a lot, although still not doing bad for a very average DM converted to CB in a system where top-notch players are required to perform there.
