Covid-19 Boredom Thread

Stumped. The first photo looks like Beckham getting sent off for England against Argentina, after retaliation against Simeone who is on the ground, and the other player is Gabriel Batistuta.

The second seems they drive on the left and UK architecture and dumped mattresses.

The third is the coast entering Marbella from the west

But the streets are deserted in two photos due to the virus of WUHAN ???

Correct with the 1st pic Beckham sent off V Argentina

  • Mattresses connection correct

Here’s another clue

Kyocera sponsored Atletico de Madrid, but I don’t see any connection to Marbella or mattresses. Fiendishly difficult this. Don’t tell me yet, even though it’s driving me crazy.

Ah, colchoneros !!!

You got there in the end

Beckham sent off after retaliation against SIMEONE
Mattresses = Los Colchones in Spanish - nickname of Atletico
Marbella = Jesus Gil - ex president (They had Marbella on their shirts for a number of yrs)
And the lady that places flowers in the corner before every home game.

I will have a think of another one to do

Looks like you have a natural talent there Brian.

But I’ve got this big challenge, all the Sevilla players whose names start with ‘K’ since (and including) Kanouté. If anyone can get more than half of them I’ll be impressed. In no particular order other than difficulty …

I’ve been trying to think of his full name for the last hour. He was usually only known as “Kolo”
Can’t believe I forgot Kounde :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Javi Varas ?
Don’t think it’s Palop although Both wore the 888 shirt

Is it Morgan de Sanctis? Well, I’m quite sure it is because he has a bit of a strange leg posture.

Surnames only, otherwise I could have put Kevin Gameiro on the list.

Well can’t forget Kranevitter… the softest and laziest “defensive midfielder” we’ve ever had.

Hi Shen, I was getting worried about you.

I instantly forgot Kranevitter, that’s how memorable he was.

I actually met his brother Charlie in Orlando when Sevilla came over a few years ago. He was a great guy and we are still friends on social media. I liked Kolo and thought he was a decent defender for us.

Here’s one for @Brian, I don’t think he went to this game.
English cup final 1902, Sheffield United v Bury.
Game features ‘Fatty Faulkes’ the fattest goalkeeper ever and also star of English cricket team.

This is the height of football culture as a game for the working class, it’s all downhill after this.
