Barcelona melt down, on and off the pitch, watch the ending and the understanding between Reyes and Antoñito and the run by Marco Vales.
What a run on that third goal!
Can you believe that we actually used to watch games like this?
The RSP was almost unrecognizable with the drapes hanging from the balconies. Sarabia missed a sitter early on, Geiss and Pizarro played well, strange on so many levels. The equalizer was in 93rd minute.
Golden age. And Sergio Ramos celebrating a goal against Sevilla, as always…and I’m not a hundred percent sure, but it felt like he was dedicating it ironically to Del Nido Sr ( he was pointing to the palco and made a gesture like it was for a/the bald guy).
Hat trick by Kanouté, to boot
It was one of the two matches, both in CDR 2009-10 season, can’t exactly remember which one was it - though I remember I was ultra happy at the end of both.
But in of these specifically (very close to one another in dates), I was sick with a flu and got the worst symptoms that day. After FT and the joy that night… immediately got a relief and felt better. No more fever and chills, no body pain… that’s when I realized that football is magical
Also on the contrary, it can make your day/week/month etc. worse, especially if you are very invested emotionally.
Lately I’m not as invested as before, for obvious reasons - but it still has an effect for the good or bad in overall mood.
Great games, There are several with Valencia and I particularly remember the penalty shoot out with Bilbao in another game.
He’s saying ‘Hey Baldy, look who just scored’
Does anyone remember this?
Not necessarily a classic match, but this must be one of the best build up plays in the history of the club, leading to a goal. Amazing passes and coordination between the players.
Steaua - Sevilla 0:2 , 2007 CL group stage match
2nd goal from the 14th sec of the video.
I remember it well, can you not forget Alves taking out two defenders with a dummy, the home fans clapped the goal. Respect.
Spotted Poulsen in there and got to wondering what he’s been up to. Turns out he was the assistant coach for Denmark for last two years, but with head coach stepping down after EUROS, he’s now in limbo. Curious to see him develop as a coach, could imagine him being a great coach for Sevilla someday. Or maybe Enzo Maresca after he ends up getting tossed to the bin by the ruthless EPL (we’re all dead in the long run anyhow, no?).
