Sevilla beat :poop:, 1-1

Still think it’s funny that Jesus Navas has more trophies than their entire club

Even when Sevilla are in the bottom half of the table Beti can’t beat them.

Loved Lamela’s commitment and shithousery in this match, he is excellent at that in derbies, was always impactful in big games v Chelski and Arsenal at Spurs too! :hugs:

Decent point for us and deserved.

I’ll take that. They still can’t beat us.

Great effort by the team today. We didn’t create as much, but we tried despite playing against 12.

Acuña continues to show why he’s the kinda player you want in these kinda battles. He even called the ref out on his own BS with the dramatic face grab.

I just don’t know what it is
For a team so stacked, coach included, had they been wearing the colours of the Yellow Submarine, they’d actually be a force to reckon with. But there’s something so sorry about that club that it’s embarrassing we share the same city. How long have their fans been talking about a revival? These scrubs still can’t beat us. They should join the other 3 Andalusian teams in the relegation zone. They were so trash today they made Ramos look like his prime Madrid self.

Bring on Granada.

Vamos Mi Sevilla! Get well soon Isaac!

Reflections on the Agoumé - Soumaré duo in midfield? Felt like it was both uninspiring and not that effective, particularly in creating anything interesting on offense.

But hey, a draw feels like a win. :poop: hasn’t won in ages

Not inspiring maybe, neither offer any real creativity as they both are defensive rather than offensive - but in fairness this was Agoume’’s first start since long ago?
Would still prefer someone like Arthur Melo in the no.6 position, someone who can hold possession and move the ball nicely from deeper midfield.

I think Agoume needs more time. He’s been steady, and got to showcase a little bit more of his game today with the added space. It only looked inspiring in those opening 10 minutes when he was crashing the box and Soumare was doing his usual pace-setting from the back. We just stopped being patient and forced it too much.

On the flipside, it isn’t the tandem you want with a striker like YEN, who can’t get ball to feet. How are they supposed to play balls inside? I think Isaac was gonna help us with that, which in turn makes YEN more comfortable in his play.

Going back to the point raised by ShendM recently about the lack of ambition from QSF this season. While it may have been quite understandable and justifiable when we were deep in relegation fight, the last couple of games, including today’s, we could have been a little braver with a little more ambitious tactics and substitutions and get a more effective performance perhaps?

On LaLiga TV Graham Hunter was quite vocal about that too, saying that with more ambition in making earlier substitutions at 1-1 Sevilla could have got more out of the derby. He was critical of Quique’s decision to give Lamela only 5 last minutes tonight and about a minute in the previous game, noting that Lamela is the player who can provide positive impact on the match and yet Sanchez Flores seems to be sidelining the player and pushing him out.

Don’t really wanna throw the brother under the bus, but Lukebakio undid any of the good work of the players behind him. It was only late on that he finally took on Miranda and created 2 dangerous scenarios. Not to mention, it was way late before he started actually completing his damn passes, smh.

Lamela should have gotten a good 15 min at least, but I think QSF wants to put trust in the players likely to be here next season. He’s also keeping a small rotation so he can build some consistency. Lamela has struggled to stay fit as well, which didn’t help his case.

I do hope Flores experiments with this 4-4-2 a bit more, cause it helps us be more ambitious. I think using the 5-3-2 helped to refocus and re-organize our defence. Now that we’re practically safe, let’s use the remaining games as early pre-season matches for the next campaign.

When Isaac went down injured, I think YEN looked nearly as distraught as Isaac. Their complementarity has really transformed both of their play. Even if Isaac has always been a solid contributor with the cantera, a huge part of the story of his level-up has definitely been his partnership with YEN.

Issac has a hamstring injury to the myotendinous junction. Looks like he is done for the season.

I think he first felt it during the Las Palmas game. He pulled up short holding his thigh but then seemed to recover.

I never blamed Ramos for anything. Was a few times unlucky, but noone can tell me he was worse than our other center backs when you look at the full picture (defending AND build up play). You were just hating for him not being prime Ramos from 2014 or something.

Yesterday the dutch commentator (who is an Atletico fan) could not stop hating on Ramos too, saying how terrible he is now, shit personality and how the ‘hijo de puta’ chants from betpiss toward him were justified. Incredibly annoying to listen to, so I turned sound off

Isco out here saying shit like this?

“We had many chances, I think in the second half especially. And a set piece condemned us. And nothing, they tied us with practically nothing.”

We didn’t need the help of the referee to put one in the back of the net douchebag.

Lamela loves Sevilla club and would be happy to continue as a Sevillista, he always gives full commitment and 100% effort on and off the pitch. He should not be one of those who are pushed out of the club by a head coach who has only had half a season here. I believe keeping him on the bench when he can play at least an hour or so makes a player more susceptible to muscle injuries as the body does not get proper match conditioning.

I would be a little bit afraid if QSF continues the next saison.
The ignoring of the new arrivals in the Winter
is there any other club in the world in which there is such a bad relationship between Coach and Manager like in Sevilla? I think not.
