To be fair, the deserved result.

Can’t say Almeria don’t deserve that. A disappointing performance and result.

Still only six points ahead of the bottom three. We’re not out of the woods yet.

Damn that’s a huge 2 points dropped!

embarrassing result - at least we got a point but we were horrible today

Again whistle blew on a cross into the box?

Get this lucky, and still sabotage yourself. Absolute masterclass again.

Several chances to get the killer third goal and wasted the momentum with sloppy messing around with the ball instead of picking Isaac’s runs. Suso, Acuna, Lukebakio guilty of that, so annoying. Almeria left big gaps at the back pushing for the equaliser and we wasted the chance to exploit that. Even right at the end, Suso got the ball on a turnover from Gudelj, we have three attackers against three defenders but instead of sending a not difficult pass to Isaac who pulled free into space behind their defence, Suso turns and passes back.

Snatched the poor draw from the jaws of victory again.

Almeria drew, Atletico 2-2, Athletic 0-0 and got robbed by Madrid 3-2 and Barcelona 3-2 as well.

They are no clowns. A bit naive yes, but in their position you have nothing left to lose so you just gotta respect it more, and we did not.

We played like we didn’t take Almeria seriously. I don’t care who you’re playing, that’s unacceptable at the top level. It’s great that we put ourselves in a winning situation despite a bad game, but you gotta secure those points. @Erik_17 said it perfectly, too many times we could have put it to bed and we didn’t. Shame.

Not an excuse for the poor end of the match, but where did the 7 minutes come from in the second half ? Several subs, two goals, ok - but no bad injuries and no lengthy VAR delays? Almeria looked down at 2-1, with us controlling the game and attacking with ease (and wasting those attacks with ease too) at that stage, but 7 added minutes announcement seemed to galvanise them again.

Other than that, the ref was very good I thought. No anti-Sevilla vibes from the refs tonight in general.

Win against Celta on Sunday and this result will be okay.

Need to win as Cadiz play Granada at home soon.

Still too close for comfort to that bottom three.

Overall it is not a bad point. Shame we couldn’t get the win but glad we got a point as we were losing for most of the match. We take the point and move on. Vamos mi Sevilla!

Looking at the fixtures, we have four very winnable home games against Celta, Mallorca, Granada and Cadiz.

Win all four of them and that very well could be enough to keep us up

I thought we took our goals really well. It nice to see the side look more of a threat in attack and we look like we have more pace on the counter. It’s refreshing to see more pace and energy in the team.

Lukebakio looked great on his return and took his goal so clinically. Ocampos worked hard and again with another big goal and contribution.

Young Isaac had a frustrating day at office but he still was involved a lot and worried their defence.

I think we should be okay but we need to tighten up defensively a bit. We still give poor goals away and switch off at times.

Still we take a point and big game with Cela now. Vamos!

Correction: *that would guarantee we stay up.

That would imply Cádiz (not to mention Celta et al) getting 16 points out of the remaining 10 games and us getting zero from the 6 you haven’t mentioned.

Not to say I’m not slightly more worried than I was yesterday, but if we can even get 3 wins and a draw from those 4 matches, we should be all set.

I like Quique but Sevilla played terrible, lamentable, one of the worse I’ve ever seen for the lack of ideas.

I see on their equalizer that Ocampos was the deepest player back and that BadĂ© and Ramos were scrambling to get back and Ocampos trying his hardest to cover for them. There’s been a massive hole between Ramos and BadĂ© all season. Isaac was totally useless until his assist.

On the bright side it’s good to see Lukebakio return and Suso is looking fundamental to the cohesion. And of course more players are returning from injury and that will give Quique more options. AgoumĂ© is the player I really would like to see recover soon.

Not sure I saw the same match as you, @TimSpence2 . Some defensive gaps, some players looking better than others, but hard to describe it as a terrible game. To put it another way. It’s a match that two months ago we all would have taken as a sign of progress. Under recent form, was a regression, sure. But I still saw a functional team playing together and creating opportunity for most of the match.

Wasn’t watching with undivided attention, though, so maybe I just focused in for the parts that were better and missed some worse parts

I wasn’t sure how QSF was going to re-integrate him into the lineup, and it seems we may see him feature in a front 2 (for now). It was a big call for Quique to sub out YEN, who was largely ineffective, when Isaac is usually the one to come off first and hardly completes the 90 minutes. I think it showed how much faith is in Romero, with also some good coaching, for the player to find a way to be effective even if his end product was failing him that game. Still found a way to be involved in both goals.

Sure you did, we all see different things in the same game.
