23/24 MD25 - Sevilla FC at Valencia

Sow is our weakest link. No attacking threat (chicken shot + lack of physical presence), circles the ball endlessly without intent, low defensive IQ, often doesn’t know what to do with the ball, poor positioning and lack of forward runs.

We need a serious midfielder who can score when given the chance or at least have a powerful shot that causes a corner or something… and who has some physical presence in the midfield.

Soumare is a beast!

OT has been playing well but still a weak link. Our midfield is generally weak and if we fix this, keep the key players and get a serious CB - we can do some real damage next season.

agreed with sow. he had some really bad touches against atleti

We played a 5 back line in defense against Atlético. Acuña was playing as the third CB. That would transition to a 442 in attack.

I think QSF is wary of Valencia’s attacking players fluidity in our danger zone. He wants to keep that tight, but Valencia still had some good chances, some of which a better team would’ve used better and score.

It is obvious that we are missing Ocampos dearly.

Bring on Muzambo in the second half!

exactly. but the difference is we r staying back a lot more bc we dont have as much attacking reinforcement as we did last time. ocampos was a really big hit in how we played tactically. once we get him and dodi back ill be excited to see what we can do in attack

Yeah we have not been threatening at all. Let’s be honest.

we dont have any shots to show for it but we’re trying our hardest to attack without many of our key attackers

Very generous. No shots and we have not gotten to anything, that even counts as an opportunity.

Only had one phase with some proper fieldplay for a bout 2 minutes. Furthermore, we can’t keep the ball and our direct play is pretty bad too.

well see what happens. could very well end 0 0 but we dont look like scoring i agree

No Ocampos and so the supply line to the front 2 is missing

Credits to this ref for at least talking up to the players like humans instead of an agitated owner of a micro penis like the average spanish ref.

Meaningless change, unless Acuna had a slight injury or QSF thinks Pedrosa can cause more danger going forward due to his playing style?
