23/24 MD22 - Sevilla FC (1) vs Osasuna (1)

The chance was there to win it.

Full time. Frustrating given that we were ahead, but we’ve finally a gained some points in the league, last time we did was against Girona

We’ll be down Suso, Ramos and presumably Sow next week

Wish we would have won, but still looks like we a building up over the last few games. REALLLLY need to improve out set piece defending, but overall the team looks more and more cohesive.

In the end we have to be happy to take the draw. As we could have lost.

However, it’s disappointing because we were dominating until their goal. We remain in big trouble. If we can’t win these games against a poor osasuna away from home then it not good.

It could be a point that keeps us up but we likely to be in this 3 way relegation fight right to the end. The pressure continues to build.

We could have won today but shot ourselves in foot from the corner again. Frustrating game.

There are some positives I just feel we leaving it too late. Our next run of games are super tough too.

We had to win this one but at least it’s a point and something to build on.

We can’t keep relying on Isaac every game.

Yeah, I agree but thank god we have him lol

On the plus side, since Celta lost, we actually move up in the table. We wanted all three but ultimately a point is an improvement from what we’ve seen recently

Dropped off in the second half especially after their equaliser. Another poor goal to concede from a set piece and their first chance. We really need to work on this as it’s costing us every game. A real inability to keep leads as well.

In the end I’m grateful for the point especially with ten men but still disappointing not to win against an Osasuna side that don’t travel well.

Results not too bad for us with Celta losing and Cadiz drawing but still very much in trouble and need to start winning a few soon!

In that first half I was thinking how we down there with cadiz and Celts as we played well.

The 2nd half showed why though. We can’t play well for 2 halves of football. We too inconsistent and we always liable to give a bad goal away.

Still Isaac is a big plus for us and we did decent and controlling the midfield today.

I just worry that we get frustrated to quickly and the pressure at club is immense.

Cadiz and celta may be slightly with less quality but they know how to scrap better than us and don’t have the weight of same pressure, the sevilla players have and all the chaos too.

Let’s see. Big game at Rayo now! Vamos sevilla!

Commentator on Viaplay said the same, that we’ll soon be pulling away from trouble playing like we did in the first half. As you say though, second half showed exactly why we are in trouble. It was like watching two totally different sides.

Incredibly frustrating and hopefully we can become more consistent and put a few results together and get out of this mess!

8 - Sevilla have not won any of their last eight home games in LaLiga (D5 L3), equalling their worst home winless run in top-flight history, suffered between February and October 1965 (G8 D5 L3). Nerves.

We really need a result against Rayo, a win preferably as we then have Atleti, Real and Sociedad to come and tricky away game at Valencia.

SoumarĆ© actually played well. Suso in the first half until he disappeared. BadĆ© was decent, Marcao was our best provider and that’s a problem. Haha

Agoume was ok-ish but I don’t see him become our new Fernando anytime soon.

Sevilla now officially the ā€˜Milli Vanilli’ of football, lacking basic standards and understanding of football. This would never have happened under Caparrós. Hell, Bade can’t even get his boot studs right, he’s falling down every sharp turn.
