I think we have to or we could be in a nervy relegation fight all season
Who was Ramos shouting at ?
Iām not looking forward to that. They riding high and will fancy the upset to add to our misery.
The granada game was great but just a new manager bounce combined with how terrible they are.
Every game is a real struggle at moment.
I think some Sevilla fans were shouting at him and showing their discontent. Not sure though.
Sergio Ramos has just gone ballistic on someone in the crowd who must have been shouting something at him WHILE he was doing his post-match interview after Sevilla 0-2 Athletic Club. āShut up and show some respectā. He was absolutely furious.
Ramos rather looks upset than angry
Iād swap places with them in a heartbeat right now though. At least they doing okay in la liga and donāt have the fear of relegation, no fighting in their board, not gone through 3 managers, they play better football, no aging squad or rejects and donāt have fans against the team and board.
Average Age
:poop: - 28.3
Sevilla - 28.8
Hard to argue with the rest of your post. All that and they still canāt beat us.
i let this slide cause i thought you were talking about Athletic, but this was about THAT team? iām disappointed Mark.
Depressing viewing that was. First half was terrible. Second half was marginally better but just absolutely nothing up front and Rafa Mir as ineffective as ever.
There is no goal threat and defensively all over the place. Athletic just miles better. I donāt want to be too critical of the manager after two games but setting up with five at the back at home isnāt the mindset we want and it didnāt work.
Alaves next Friday is a massive game that we simply need to win.
Four unintentional handballs by JuanLu in 4 games.
At what point do we tie his arms behind his back? With a bad VAR ref, todayās JuanLu handball could have been whistled a penalty. Just not cut out for defense in the area
ā¦
It is not about wanting to be them. As we would never want that. Itās more about just being in a more healthy place as a club. It pains me to say but even they arenāt as incompetent as us right now.
Hopefully things change but it is what it is for now.
Then again a part of me thinks to myself itās Sevilla fc and I love the club and all its turbulence and rollercoaster rides. Maybe you wouldnāt swap it for the world? It will be all the more sweeter if we bounce back from this in the future.
I agree with all of that. Alaves is massive and must win. I just donāt think we can afford to even drop in the bottom 3 for a sustained period of time. The mood around the club is so toxic now and that would tip it further.
We simply have to get away from the bottom 3 as fast as possible because I think itās going to be really hard to get of the mire if this continues and we still fighting relegation at end of the season.
We need a few players to step up and be heroās but Iām not sure where itās going to come from? We need a very productive transfer market but the January window is not the easiest to get players. We desperately need a striker though and a playmaker too.
Got to hope for the best at this point.
We do seem to be out of ideas as how to score.
Our forwards are useless. At this point I would suggest playing Ramos as a Target Man, after all the Man is good at aeiral duels.Cross the ball to him and bangš
We can have better scoring chances than the current nonsense.
And insert Gattoni for DC position that Ramos left over.
I think with this game it is proven that Rafa Mir is a worse striker than Raul Rusescu, but has a better hairstyle, slightly.
After the dreadful first half, the raised intensity and sharper passing in second half offered some (relative) positivity. But the team clearly needs reinforcements and misses key players like YEN, Lamela, Navas, Soumare, Lukebakio in better form.
Rafa Mir was understandably rusty but also lacked good service and was isolated up front. Rakitic and Ocampos needed to be much closer to him to provide more threat in attack.
Midfield was overrun too easily and as in many cases in football, it was there where the match was largely lost and won.
Cannot expect much if we have to rely on the likes of Januzai to help turn the match around. January window is crucual to Sevillaās season now.
We clearly need some January reinforcements but getting key players back would help. We have so many injuries and absences and thatās been a common theme in recent seasons.
