Some great work from Lamela already, both in attack and defensively with his trademark tracking back and dispossessing the opponent. Although also a couple of times he was dispossessed himself a bit easier than he should have been.

We toiled a lot in that first half. Struggling to create chances or maintain possession/control of the game.
Thankfully we have been solid at back and kept the clean sheet. Need to do more going forward though as Valencia were a bit better in attack.
Need to up the ante 2nd half and maybe make some early changes to inject more life into us. The extreme heat probably isn’t helping either team with their performance or rhythm.
Hopefully we can up the performance and grind out the win.

Valencia is defending well, and taking away our options of moving forward. But we’re really trying different things to counteract this, so our possession became very stale. Who knows if the heat is getting to them, but VAL seems to be outworking us at the moment.
