Summer 2020 Sevilla FC Transfer Rumours

Yeah I would say the same Edi, especially in these times around 55m should be not too bad. But I don’t mind playing hard to get like Chris and aim for the buy out clause

I think we are in a different position financially than we were in the past that can demand those big numbers. If someone really wants the player make them pay the clause.

Carlos Fernandez at it again!

And he’s the only striker worthy of staying next season. It’s been a wrap for De Jong since pre-season, and YEN is 2 years away from being 2 years away.

True. We managed top 4 without even 1 top striker. It just shows you the strengths of the rest of the team. We need a couple of strikers in if we can this offseason before new season.

And i don’t care how well Bono is playing, and how cheap the buyout option is (€5m), he ain’t coming back! I remember Cluj… :joy:

There is much less pressure without a crowd. Not sure when fans will be allowed to attend, but that won’t be a time for nervous keepers.

Wow looking at that list of who we went through while monchi was in Rome. Crazy. I think this summers transfer market will be key for us. Champions league football and having to get rid of some players. I’m hoping we can still find a striker worth getting excited for. The only one in the most recent years I was, was Andre silva. But that didn’t work out either :joy:

So what I read today was that we might be looking for something other then Reguilon on the left wing back position. Reguilon returns to Madrid who in their case probably will sell him again or on loan to somewhere. Chelsea is renovating their squad intensely and Marcos Alonso might be on the way out. This doesn´t make me excited but he probably is more stable then Reguilon. Besides the hard work, Reguilon is such an inacurate player. He had a handfull of assist but with the amount of times he has been up close in those final situations he could have had triple. But that´s also exactly the point I like about him, he doesn´t stop he keeps going. So being this forward driven gives him a lot of chances to create those situations, so the idea and effort is there. Where an experienced back does it a couple of times, but does it well.

Also eventhough monchi was pessimistic about the arrival of Rakitic, If Barcelona wants to lose wages and don´t expect a sum of money, We probably open our arms. Since we are looking to replace Banega with 1) La Liga proven quality playmaker and 2) one younger prodigy probably foreign. So we are puting our fishing lines out to Parejo as well as Campaña for the first replacement.

I like Parejo, although Tim is pretty right about his lack of hard and defensive work. Rakitic at Barça has been blame of this as well. Where they track back to slow in crucial situations or when they are just there positionaly but actually not covering attackers (semi-defending). In a way I agree, but to get most of them in final situations towards the attack, you need to give those players cover by others, instead of relying on them to do both. It´s hard. But the dirty workers allows creators to excell. So keeping that in mind as a team I think Parejo can work amazingly still. Im a fan.

Two of the many things I can’t remember…

Didn’t we buy/loan 12 new players last pre-season? Plus Suso and Nesyri later.

How many of those were on the radar weeks before they were signed?

He can work, It’s just that I’ve seen him lose the ball and just not chase back, it’s attitude and it depends on how the game is going, it’s not an attitude I would put up with and probably even less a pro manager.

Thanks :+1:

I only see two dodgy buys there, Chicharito and Rony. I think Dabbur was bought by Caparros but arrived at season end, Caparros also bought Munir who is great. Oscar Arias did not do a very good job, clearly.

We were linked with Suso since last summer, and with Jordán the month before he signed. Fernando talks started when negotiations already took off, but it just took a while to close the deal.

Everyone else was relatively sprung upon us. I remember when the Ocampos deal was all but wrapped up, we suddenly had a loan deal for Reguilón, then we were also closing in on Kounde as well. I’m absolutely amped for this year’s version of that.

Better as a wingback. Tragic in a back 4. I’d rather Juan Bernat from PSG.

But i’m seeing hints that Reguilón might have his loan extended here. I don’t see Marcelo leaving just yet, as Sergi isn’t ready to take his place. Staying at Sevilla would be great for his development.

You got it outta me Jim.

With Kepa I have my doubts, but he can do better than Vaclík with that defence.

Diego Carlos just got linked with ManCity. I think our summer spending will be funded by his transfer. It’s either DC or a new signing.

At striker, i went with Arek Milik cause i see no other CF of quality that can be the target man that Lope is looking for. And he has 1 year left on his contract. Cavani is an impossible dream. Schick could be good, but i’m more comfortable with Milik.

Looks nice, except we won’t be a serious team with Gudelj there - too much of a liability even for a back up DM.

Who is that Oscar fella? Not sure of the surname.

That was what I was getting at. Keeping Monchi’s wish list secret is vital to the project, otherwise players with potential get snapped up by other clubs, like Mariano to Madrid.

Yeah I have the same thinking. It’s like a suspense novel ‘what Monchi did next’

Oscar Rodriguez, on loan at Leganes from Real Madrid.

Wouldn’t mind an upgrade. Has done incredibly well for a free signing.

That’s the point, we’ll never know if he was the right player at the right time. He said he wanted to sign for Sevilla because he wouldn’t get many games at Madrid, but somehow they seduced him. He’s played a few games coming on in the 90th minute and Madrid have shafted him, like many before.

Seems harsh on Gudelj. He’s the perfect backup for that roll. Can play CB if needed and cheap. I think he’s done well this year.

We hold fast and hard. Nothing less. Even with that cash I’m not sure there is a similar unknown center back which can be bought in the same window. Bayern are linked to just about every superstar but are not known for shelling out in the 50m plus ranges, until Hernandez came along for 72m, they put that up and Sevilla would sell.

Never understood why the club let him go so cheaply, maybe the dream of the CL with Emery was so enticing? Emery ended up using him sporadically and his career just spiraled down and is now playing with Lokomotiv Moscow, Sevilla also sorely missed his presence both physically and defensively. Bad move for both parties.

Marcos Alonso could give more firepower and support on the left but only as a wingback, his defensive work is mediocre at best and wingers will find a lot of joy going one-on-one with him.

The quoted list has 12 players:

Rodrigo Moreno
Gameiro
Parejo
Kongodbia
Coquelin
Diakhaby
Mangala
Cillessen
Sobrino
Correira
Guedes
Ferran Torres

I would personally go for all three of Parejo, Kongodbia and Coq. Parejo for obvious reasons, Kongodbia for his box-to-box play and Coq for his no-nonsense defense, guy was the only thing holding Arsenal’s flimsy midfield together, he might not offer a lot going forward but he would be a perfect replacement for Fernando when the latter retires.

Torres is out of the club’s scope with his price tag of at least 40m. Guedes was very good in his debut season but has fallen off a bit since, his asking price is the major factor, he also plays on the left which could be welcome.

Diakhaby was hyped when he started playing and is solid, he’s not close to Kounde but is just 24 so could be considered as a rotation piece. Cillessen is a decent keeper who could be no.1 if there is a lack of other options. Mangala is just a physical beast with little tactical sense so that’s a no from me.

Gameiro couldn’t leave Sevilla soon enough so the doors are closed on him, never got the big deal with Rodrigo, yes he has flashes here and there but really isn’t a center piece of your team. No to both. A pity that Valencia were not dumb enough to list Maxi Gomez, a wonderful fit for Sevilla.

If the club do get 2-3 of Valencia’s players and Lope instills some effective tactics Sevilla should really be able to challenge At. Madrid for 3rd each season. Big summer ahead for the club with players and cash available, make it count instead of Aria’s season of madness.

At Madrid want him too, surely he would want to wreck Simone’s plans instead right?

Götze is a free agent right? How bad can it be? Pretty low risk imo. Ex superstar talent at an age of 28 (peak performance, if fit) if he puts in the effort I have confidence he can still be a quality signing. You don´t lose talent, you lose form. I would take a free Götze. He really could be a dark horse, out of Germany, new environment, reinventing himself. I can see it as a nice addition but we would for sure still need the David Silva, Parejo level to have a stable player.
