Another summer window passes where the defence remains the most worrying part of this squad. Alot rides on Sangante staying fit (and being the real deal), and the evolution of both Salas & Castrín. I think we scored a solid RB in Iglesias, while seeing if Julio Díaz can challenge Suazo for the LB spot. Keeping Odysseas for another season is huge. Also securing his potential replacement is equally as important. I hope LGP can instill the right defensive mentality into this group.
As for the midfield, i’m glad we managed to get coverage centrally. I don’t expect a great deal of playmaking from our pivots, but it’s been nice seeing Agoume improve, becoming more dynamic every season.
Naturally, our creators will come from out wide, where i’m still gutted over losing Oso. The remaining wingers are all question marks, from the fitness levels of Ejuke, Vargas, & Alfon, to whether Félix & Sierra are even good enough.
And lastly, the strikers. At the very least, we’ll no longer be setting up Isaac to fail by playing him as the lone striker. With Ure & Stassin, the 4-4-2 won’t look forced now that we have other options. From the little i’ve seen, Ure looks decent in aerial duels but seems to have a bad 1st touch. Granted, it’s only a knee-jerk reaction (and i said the same of YEN till his last day), but he’s also in the right league to improve his technique. I’m also itching to see whether Stassin will even have us consider that €25M clause. The only way that happens is if he wins the Pichichi. But what if? 
We’ll see how long it takes for Plaza to find his 1st choice XI, but i’m looking forward to that process. In the words of Fofana… FORZA SEVILLA!!
