Got to admit, I know very little about the new signings, I think Stassin was a wonder kid on FIFA/EAFC at one point, but he seems to have lost his way a little.

Here’s hoping the new guys can settle in quickly and give the team some impetus for the season ahead.

I love me a transfer window surprise. Brought in 2 signings this morning, only to announce a much needed DM at the last minute.

We needed everything to go our way in order to complete the plan and sign that extra CB, but we’ll have to rely on Iglesias or Agoume (or Marcão :sweat_smile:) in case of an emergency.

7.5/10 window for me.

Overall very happy with this transfer window. Fofana is a coup especially. Would have been nice to get the extra CB in but decent on the whole.

Reading a little about Fofana this morning he sounds very much like a Fernando type player, happy to sit in front of the back line and act almost like a third CB when needed.

To be honest my starting team right now would probably be:

GK: Vlacho

RB: Juan Iglesias

CB: Sangare

CB: Kike Salas

LB: Suazo

DMC: Fofana

CM: Guridi

CM: Agoume

RW: Ruben Vargas

LW: Ejuke

ST: Isaac Romero

Gives us a healthy bench of:

Fran Gonzalez, Carmona, Julio Diaz, Castrin, Marcao, Kochorashvili, Peque Fernandez, Alfon, Felix, Stassin, Robbie Ure

Looking at that bench if we can somehow ship out Marcao in January and bring in a CB and a CM that really isn’t a bad little squad. It might only be mid table at this moment in time but with players like Fofana, Agoume, Julio Diaz, Fran Gonzalez, Felix and Stassin that is a whole lot of exciting potential.

The issue I always have with a player like Peque Fernandez is, no matter how talented of a player he may be, unless you play a specific tactic where a Number 10 fits in, he is always going to struggle to fit in the lineup for me.

So unless we go back to the Lope days of 4-2-3-1 for me he is a bit of the odd man out.
