So proud of the fans for creating that atmosphere for these players. Prolly the only time this season it felt like the RSP was a fortress.

We started with the right mentality, which setup a good foundation to close out the match. Finally saw some hunger in some challenges and giving their all to get in front of every shot or cross.

Great game by Ejuke, who was our best player on the counter. We have dearly missed his wizardry on the flanks.

This next Espanyol game is crucial, cause every other game will be increasingly difficult. We’re out of the bottom 3 for now, but the it’s far from over. We can rest easy for a least 1 night.

I wont Lie. I really like Garcia Plaza. His passion on the touchline really gives much. He has also set this team up very well. I hope he gets us to stay up.

Just saw a (BS) explanation of that Agoume disable goal:
“Castrin is in an offside position and his hand disturb that Sociedad player that’s jumping for arial duel with Salas.”
Sounds like BS excuse to me.

Edit: just saw someone said this is technically a correct and standard offside call, although Castrin looks like barely touching that Sociedad player. Well, i must said that’s Segunda level play and rules understanding from Castrin. (When you’re offside and the ball comes to you, you stand still and don’t do shit, that’s a rule 10 year old should know) Sigh

Last night was a reminder to us all how powerful the Sevilla fanbase can be. They turned it into a cauldron atmosphere and it inspired the Sevilla players.

We have been struggling a lot but that was probably one of the best performances of the season from them. The intensity was better and they created lots of chances. It was domination for 90 minutes.

A huge win and big for confidence. The job is not done but if the Sevilla fans back the players like that again and players respond we have a good chance at trying to replicate that against Espanyol next.
