La Liga - Matchday 19 - Sevilla FC vs Celta Vigo

Risky putting on Nianzou now with no more subs…

A mix of everything, but his total physical exertion playing with the Swiss NT is the main culprit for the injuries this season.

As an injury prone player, I’d be wiser to give my best for the entity that pays my salary and not risk stupid injuries, especially at 27.

It’s one thing to play well and serious for your NT, another thing is to give your all and leave your heart on the pitch even when not necessary.

In the last match vs. Kosovo he scored and was running non stop, in a pretty meaningless match for the WC qualifiers. All that on a rainy pitch, plus slipped many times. Watched him from close live, and was already thinking of the repercussions once he’s back with the club… then the injury happened.

He better rest now until March when the international duty calls again. :victory_hand:t2:

God damn it.

Can Vlacho save us again miraculously,?

So unlucky.

We are gonna get relegated, arent we? This is insane…

Every match! Seems like we can never catch a break.

I cant believe it. If you cant win your home games when you are this bad away from Home also, you are gonna go Down.

this is beyond bad. Im so angry..

He sees a penalty from 40 yards way, but can’t see that wasn’t a foul in the box?

Sacking Almeyda wont solve the problems, obviously, but something has to happen. This is unnacceptable. Two Home games where the bare minimum should have been 4 points now result in 0 and 0 goals scored.

Something gotta change. Formation, tactic, players, coach. I dont know, but it seems there is no belief left in the team. Tactic wise we also play way to defensively. 3 man midfield with no goal presence what so ever. No wingers who can assist. I get playing Mendy - Agoume and Sow vs the Big teams, but at Home to Celta, you freaking gotta play to win the game.

I dont know what to do if we go down. Simply cannot imagine it.

@ChrisLail I know you don’t like him, but can you ask Trump to do a special operation on the current club owners and send them to Guantanamo bay or something

That seems the only way to remove those pathetic fucks and save the club.

We’re in shambles, the club was never in a worse position in the 21st century.

We’re very close to witnessing a tragedy - relegation to Segunda and then who knows, bankruptcy and dissolving of the club?

Is anyone taking my 17th prediction now? lol :joy:

Seems like the only salvation is money into the club and some new owners.

i dont want Almeyda gone, but results gotta improve and he doesnt help himself with his tactics. Doesnt play to win the game. Seems more afraid to lose. He is an offensive minded coach, yet our players Hardly make runs forward.

The problem is mate we just not good enough. We constantly on the edge in every match we play.

We rely on pens or moments of luck but if it runs out we in big trouble.

Osasuna are terrible but we only beat them on a pen too!

I’m seriously worried about relegation now.

We’re obviously lacking any real quality and it’s going to be a real struggle to survive. Reinforcements needed but looking pretty unlikely given the financial situation and without selling.

My fear is this is going to be a season too far and we actually go down this time.

I was happy with our start but it looks like it was mainly on vibes. New manager bounce and old experienced players helping us in few games they fresh.

Now the new manager bounce gone, old players getting injured or too tired we just no different to last season. If anything it close whether we just better the same or worse.

We going to be praying there are 3 worse again. This board have fucked the club!!

The question when considering replacing the manager: who should replace him. We have tried so many different managers in the last few years. Statisticians would conclude that the problem is not the managers but other factors. The players are not good enough and if you dont find a manager that fit the players from the get-go you just end up in a downward spiral.

My issue is, quality comes with money and good scouting, but EFFORT is the minimum to expect. These playerd Hardly made run to get themselves open. There was moments of good pressing, but with the Ball, everyone stand still. No directness. No effort to get open, just passing around.

this team and players are not that bad that they should get relegated, but they lack fire and entusiasm. You have many Young players who should have Energy to make High intensity runs during games, yet they dont.

The tactics are off. Look what Giraldez from Celta did with youth players. Its all about having a clear style and identity. Right now, 6 months in, I hardly know what style of play Sevilla has other than passing it around..

How can del nido Junior, Castro and the families sleep at night? Earning millions to destroy this beautiful club.

Issue seems he doesnt know how to use the players. He wants to play short passing possession football, yet when I see these players, they hardly fit that style. Juanlu and Oso are not Technical enough to play that kind of football. Same goes with the midfield.

When I see this squad, it should be much more counter attacking and direct. Use wingbacks/wingers to run deep and use the lenght of the pitch. Those guys are dynamic, but they lack technical skills. Go back to 4-2-3-1 or even 4-4-2 and start playing more counter.
