Yes, Oviedo are terrible but you can only beat what’s in front of you and we sure did that.
Encouraging to see the gulf in class between the two sides and we move into mid-table safety.
Real next week is a free hit but then a very winnable game at home to rock bottom Levante should provide another opportunity for three points in the new year.

Since we can’t take any victory or even a draw against any team for granted it is nice to see the guys cruise home the three points and on top of that a clean sheet.
Solid performance. Although I did see us struggling a bit with Oviedo’s pressure, so a better team would probably have taken advantage of that. We can’t be picky, though.
Really wishing for Almeyda to build on these performances and hopefully the distance to relegation will help release some tension.

Wasn’t sure the team would show up and get the win even if it’s against Oviedo but this a welcome boost to everyone before closing it out the year playing against Alaves in the CDR and away to Madrid.
Not sure what to make of Adams, there are games he looks like the next coming of Kanoute followed by offside extravaganzas, he still leads the offside table with 23 and Mbappe behind him on 17.
Given Adams and Ejuke are leaving for AFCON, it would be interesting to see what the club have planned (or not) as their replacements. Just noticed previous target Vincent Aboubakar was actually a free agent before signing for the Azerbaijan League, is he really that bad that he wasn’t even worth considering?
