I could understand Marcao being outpaced by Giuliano on the wing, but the complete breakdown in defence for a wide open shot like that?? Unforgivable.

I watched a lot to come up to that conclusion. You simply cannot go from beating Barcelona, which was a complete fluke btw, to losing to Mallorca at home and get annihilated 1-3, then lose against the worst Sociedad in years, then lose to a Pathetico that is extremely beatable.
Almeyda might’ve sadly lost the locker room too by now… but it’s not his fault. He tried to get a lot more from some pieces of shit with low IQ. We simply don’t have a La Liga team.
I hope we survive… but it won’t change much with how the club has operated in the last few years.

Well, after a dreamy win over Barcelona we have come crashing down to earth again. I refrained from posting after the Mallorca and Sociedad games to avoid kneejerk reactions but truth be told when key players such as Mendy and Azp are not on the pitch the team’s qualities are laid bare and there’s not a lot to go on.
Atletico away is never easy but I keep thinking the setup could be better, why was Issac starting again? Peque did alright last game but Atletico is a big step up from Toledo. The defence rode its luck in the first half and a dumb moment cost them dearly.
And with the team completely in tatters Atletico score their third. Individual quality really makes the difference sometimes.
