La Liga 24/25 - Sevilla FC vs Real Betis

Massive! Only 2 points out of a European spot!

Even with Sevilla in turmoil and in their lowest form for a while they still can’t do it! Haha

Massive result in Navas’ last derby. Seville is red!

Commentators made the same point. If they can’t beat us now when we’re in turmoil off the pitch, it won’t be long until we recover and get back to where we have been.

Already signs this season that we’re improving on the past two seasons. I really like what we’re building, especially attacking wise with Ejuke, Lukebakio, Isaac, Peque etc. Pimienta starting to come good.

Level on points with :poop:!

The only acceptable result. Way to turn it on in the 2nd half and holding on. Sevilla doesn’t know how to win easy!

Progress to top half table.
Lukebakio looks like much better under Pimienta, probably because of Ejuke too.
I think we can first top 7 IF Ejuke Isaac & Lukebakio don’t get injured (big if to me).

Haha, thank you for the nice welcome. Just back from the game. Great city, great stadium and great atmosphere. Especially liked the songs. Not the goalfest Id hoped for. You should have won by more. Some of your guys have no football intelligence and made the wrong choice every time when presented with great chances. Luckily for you, :poop: looked like theyd have missed the target even in a penalty shoot out. Well done on the result!

Just another victim.

Not to get to greedy, but we’re actually closer to a Champions League spot than we are to relegation. Still got to keep fighting to have a chance at those slots, but hopefully without looking over our shoulder each match like we’ve been doing since 2022

It felt like the only appropriate way to welcome you.

Glad you enjoyed the game and sorry for the poor finishing!

Ekuje had a good game and looks like a decent pick-up. One question though for you and others as it’s something I don’t get. What’s with the lack of shirt sponsor? I can understand that missing Europe affects things but surely you can get somebody for less this season on either a one season deal or on a “pay more if we make Europe” basis? It’s just leaving millions on the table and those millions pay for transfers, especially if you’re not the big three.

Watched the full match but couldn’t login to my other account to comment (mobile phone).

We played good
but were lucky to face a totally impotent :poop:.

Lukebakio’s goal-scoring efficiency is extremely terrible.

Nianzou should be loaned out or sold
the guy is too dumb to be a professional footballer.

What’s a big positive in this game is that we had some counter-attacking chances - breath of fresh air from previous seasons, aaand
there’s signals that the build up in the final third will become better.

This. It’s been multiple seasons without a sponsor as well. Many clubs with much smaller brands have sponsors on the chest, so why don’t we get something, even if it’s less than we want to get some extra cash.

Ejuke was converting passes that most players would find difficult to control into superb first touch passes, he’s going to attract a lot of attention from other clubs.

What is he even saying here?

He’s claiming the ball struck arm behind his back and shouldn’t be penal but he’s not making any sense. Last season the same ref gave penal against Lukebakio in the home derby, ball hit his elbow tight to his body, from behind.
