I think it can be tricky cause you risk shattering the GK’s confidence. I say just let Ferllo get his first game during the Copa, unless Nyland’s form becomes egregious. He does need to improve tho, cause his performance would hardly drop to this level last year. I’m sure that drive to earn his contract played a factor, but if we don’t see that GK again, we should 100% move on.
I would rather give Mateo a start over Iheanacho. He did more in his 5mins than
Iheanacho did the rest of the game.
Love to see him and Isaac up front, Lukebakio on the right wing and Ejuke on the left.
Sometimes i tell myself “that’s just how Kelechi plays”, but that man needs to sit down!
Also, was i the only one a little peeved that they celebrated that goal instead of grabbing the ball and rushing for a restart? Go for the flipping win!!
Fair enough. I myself was yelling and screaming so much that I didn’t even think about it. But yeah, you’re up a man, you should see what you can pull off.
As it was, there was a moment there where I thought we were going to let it slip through our fingers. I think we should just thank our lucky stars, we kept the point!
Can someone explain to me what happened in this game, we looked more powerful and solid, what was the difference?
I think part of it was the two extra days rest we had and the fact that Athletic Club played three matches in 7 days to our two.
I do see some improvements in the team chemistry. It’s slowly getting better in attack; however, our midfield still seems missing and we can’t play out of the back with this group.
