It’s over, without Ejuke having time or possession to change the game.
There’s a certain deficiency of managerial ability, although I like some of Sevilla’s creativity, it’s imited to the counter attack through Lukébakio and the long ball. I don’t know why we have a midfield because they don’t contribute much to the game. Someone has to re-think the tactics.
I’m so glad we somehow got 36 points because with even 6 less I’d fear relegation. I’m just glad we will survive. However, the squad gets weaker and weaker and we have no money. It feels like the aim is to just survive every season until the worst happens. It really sad but where we are.
Also, GP needs to address the playmaker issue. You have to shell out minutes to Peque or Idumbo, or just play Vargas in that role. We simply need someone of that profile playing there. And for the last time, that spot is not for Juanlu!!
I agree that Vargas would be the best choice for the 10/AM role. Either that or play Isaac there are put Adams up front when he’s fit enough. I don’t think Peque is ready to play that role, whether it’s lack of minutes or lack of ability/confidence I don’t know. Vargas has the energy to press high as well.
Agreed. And he’s already shown his willingness to seek out other attackers. You could see that reciprocated with Lukebakio looking for him on that goal.
Perhaps Ejuke wasn’t yet ready for regular starts, since the game prior was his first starting XI since the injury. But GP needs to experiment with this attack, cause there’s alot of ability there being wasted.
All my La Liga podcasts and shows keep talking about this match, and it just feels like they are opening up a wound I wish didn’t exist.
We were awful and sucked. You could tell that :poop: and their fans did everything to win while we played like it was just a friendly fixture. I didn’t feel like we played like we had to win or draw. The whole game was so disappointing.
What worries me is when the instability and infighting in the boardroom starts to trickle down even more on the players and manager.
I actually give a lot of credit to the players and managers over last few seasons where they did as well as they can despite all the shit at the club. Eventually though if a club is badly run for quite a while, we in a lot of debt and bad decisions made then it will start affecting what’s on the pitch.
I hate to say it but :poop: are run a lot better than us currently hence why they keep finishing above us for past few seasons.
It felt for the first time in ages the players didn’t really want the derby. They wanted it more and you never normally say that about a Sevilla team. I think the whole club going through an apathetic state of acceptance like this is the new normal.
It sad how far we fallen but we got to try ride it out and hope things improve whether that is by a sale in the future and new owners could we will see.Something has to change though as we continuing to go in reverse without brakes.
We just got the hope for the best in these tough times. Vamos Sevilla!
I watched the game but didn’t have the heart to post anything until now.
Sadly Bet*s deserved to win the game and are just the better team right now on and off the pitch with a superior coach and players.
Sad times as from when I started watching us in 2005/6, we have always been better than them up until the past few seasons. We are just a mediocre team with equally mediocre coach and our prospects in the short-term don’t look encouraging.
I think we have some home games to come against the likes of Alaves, Leganes and Las Palmas. Hopefully we can get the results in these matches. Fortunately on 36 points we are all but safe.
