I’ve simply preferred the forum’s format because it creates better discussion. Discord may be more favourable if we’re sharing the same link to a game. ---

There are certainly pros and cons to both. Voice chats are easier on discord. But a little bit more messy to manage threads if you create lots of them. Would have to do a single “season thread” for it rather than a separate one for each season. Probably a “match day” thread instead of one for every single game. It could be pretty good. But the format would just have to be adjusted. ---

We would probably lose history as well. I find Discord more clunky to be honest. It’s popular because it is free and somewhat simple to set up. I created a discord for LA Liga, but never promoted it. ---

I am a fan of Discord myself, I think it helps to nurture discussion, it’s more accessible, and has features such as audio and video calls and streaming the games to potentially watch together. ---

What do you mean? We would never lose history we can look back into 2022 chats if you search for them in the browse functionality ---

Not really it would be pretty much the same as here but the pros would be that we could do a main channel to discuss the season and then we could create a thread just for that match for example Osasusa vs Sevilla. The other advantage would be we could stream the matches and in the end we could discuss them! ---

It also wouldn’tlog me out every time I get off safari lol. I like discord. But I can see the benefits to both. I think more discussions could happen in real time on there compared to here ---

We can do the same thing here with Categories, but it seems a bit of a waste. As for the history (what I’m referring to is porting Discourse to Discord). Discord is free/ but I don’t know if it’s worth the effort for minimal gain (debatable). ---
