Copa Del Rey 25/26 - Second Round - Sevilla FC at CD Extremadura

Fans are pissed at the line judge for that no offsides call.

Also wtf is there no Var?

I can’t stand this ref
he is my new Mateu Lahoz who always seems to make calls consistently against us. That being said, he has shown some patience towards the Extremadura players for their dissent which was valid. Props to him for keeping a level head there. So easy to pull out a card and assert authority

The early rounds of CdR don’t have VAR
mostly played at small stadiums and they dont have the set up for it.

Goal Issac! Nice left footed shot that! Oso with another key pass after a great run. Agoumé with the assist.

I know, but it’s been years for RFEF to make the investment for it.

Dumb fouls

0 - 2 at half time. Liking Oso on the left, getting him competitive minutes at senior level seems like a good move if he has potential.

It sure wasn’t pretty, but the boys pulled it out with a make shift lineup. Welcome back (I think) Jordan. I’m sure that meant a lot to him to get back on the pitch and although he tried to hurt us, he failed.

Phew. Round of 32 here we come. If we play like that, we won’t make it to the round of 16.

Thanks for getting the highlights on here! I couldn’t find where to watch this one and didn’t have the time to put in the work to find it so the commentary is appreciated! Vamos Sevilla!!

I’ve been having issues with my espn app on the fire TV os so I’ve been using Hulu instead.

Great
we’re out of the cup now too as we’ll face Alaves - the only pair of both La Liga teams that could happen and it happens with us.

And it’s an away tie. I can’t remember the last cup match we had at home.

Not a surprise you don’t remember as it was so long ago: 10th February 2021 against Barcelona in the semi-final, but as that was during Covid, there were no fans present at RSP. The last time Sevilla played a Copa game at home, in front of fans, was 23 January 2019! That was the last Copa under the old two-legged format, so everyone was guaranteed a home game.
