In that case I am glad we lost. We should not be rewarded for this crap. Expose the problems to everybody, so they finally get through their thick heads thay some radical changes are necessary

Possibly the only positive from this match is that it’s clear we need a new defence.
I could only watch this game in patches. But from what i seen it was basically Sevilla 101 and hoping for Navas’ crosses to find someone? At least we took the lead twice, but it’s so gut-wrenching that a defensive line of out best men in the air lost to headers leading to goals.
Ramos did good enough this season keeping fit, pitching in with goals, and some timely interventions. But this is not a guy to lead a line for next season. I don’t think he accepts a backup role either.

Such a frustrating second half. Villareal dominated and took so many shots. Just as we got lucky to have a goal called back, we blew it on the last push of the match.

Just watched the game and we can’t say we deserved anything from it. Villarreal were the better side and created so many chances. I could see the winner coming the moment they got the equaliser and even after being saved by the offside we couldn’t hold out.
In contrast, we created very little and can be grateful for a dubious pen and YENs brilliance in the air. Sorloth on fire for Villareal and we couldn’t handle him or crosses in the air. Defensively very poor and big improvements needed in this area.
There’s still a chance of finishing 10th but tough with games away at Athletic and home to Barca still to come so unlikely. In terms of points, looks like we will transgress from last season so a lot of work to do in the summer to improve and get back to challenging for the European places which is where we as a club should be.
