What a strange 2nd half. We played much better and the red cards damaged us.

However, it was more to do with La Real making a mess of things. They were poor 2nd half and we took advantage.

Pedrosa, Oliver and rakitic did ok. YEN was decent up front. However, just not enough and just too many problems on and off the field costing us.

The atmosphere against PSV will be interesting.

We played well for only about 10 mins in the second half and got a goal. Then got back to a combination of Lope-ball and some other abstract crap, which obviously never works.

I’m starting to question some of our player’s football IQ after some of their decisions and moves tonight, it’s embarrassing to watch.

With that said, I still think a better coach could make this squad play much better in the field. That comes with better tactics, better approach to the match and match preparation, which we have been lacking since the Emery era.

The years and years of poor management within the club is finally yielding the expected results. DISASTROUS!

Which game was Alonso watching?

ā€œThe players should know that they played a great gameā€ :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

ā€œThe first half was evenā€

ā€œThe players should leave with their heads held high after today’s gameā€ :astonished:

ā€œThe team gives what it has to give but there is no rewardā€ "

The result It’s unfair"

He’s deluded if he thinks we played well first half. We were better in the 2nd half but some of that was La Real helping us too.

To be honest he sounded like a broken man and looked close to tears.
I reckon he has the next 2 home games to turn it around or he’s out, especially if the crook takes over next week.

Not good. They don’t get on as far as reports go anyway. I think papa will give his son the boot as well if he gets back in power!

Didn’t Del nido junior back Castro over his own father? If that’s the case I don’t see Del nido senior forgiving him

I think he’s going to boot nearly everyone.

Most of the players will go, the manager, the board members, etc. I think it will be a complete reset if he gets in.

Another disappointing loss.

First half was terrible and La Real totally outplayed us and were unlucky not to be more than two goals up.

Second half was better although I think that was more that they let us back into it.

I really don’t see where we’re going under Alonso and I do think we’ve gone backwards since Mendi left. A defeat or even a draw against PSV and I really think he could be out of a job.

According to the English announcers on ESPN that is Pepe Castro along side Victor Ortega. haha

They also called Castro Del Nido earlier in the match.

After watching it today on replay, I don’t think we played so bad. Yes there was a really disappointing goal early that was a fluke and the Sadiq goal was just amazing. Other than that, they didn’t have too many great chances. We created some attacks in the first half, but things really started to gel once Oliver came on. I don’t know why we went for that starting XI, too old, too slow against a very dynamic squad. I blame Alonso for setting us up for disaster.
