Akor with a chance for a second after a wonderful through ball by Sow finds Akor 1v1 but the keeper gets big and makes the save.
Great save by Neyland after some poor defending and clearing the box.
Akor Adams gets his brace in the 32ā after some horrible passing in the back from Schalke defenders. Hits it right to Vargas who lays it off easily to Adams who slots it home. 0-2 Sevilla
OH no! Adams should have had a hattrick as another turnover allows a pass outwide to a wide open Stanis who beats the keeper and tries to lay it off to Adams, but hits it too hard and wide. Embarrassing moment for the young kid.
Stanis Idumbo has the chance to really take a step forward this season. He may very well when that starting spot at LW over Ejuke. He keeps finding himself in space.

Really good first half for Sevilla. Pretty much a domination. I donāt think this Schalke team is very good which is allowing us to ping passes and connect with ease that you havenāt seen in sometime from SFC.

The best half so far this pre-season. We got some creative guys up front (Dodi, Vargas, Stanis/Idumbo), but the midfield is still lacking some to make full use of this attacking power.
I think the Idumbo-chance was one of those instances where he had too much time to decide what to do. And ended up doing nothing. Still a real baller and I hope he gets more minutes. Too bad he is playing in one of those over crowded positionsā¦

Schalke gets another. Initial good save by Nyland but the rebound is was put away.
Damn! Sevilla gets it back. Great glancing header by Marcao from the corner.
Exciting match. Great to see us scoring some goals and looking fun to watch!

Great result, performance and lots of attacking quality on display. It is very promising and hopefully we build on this in the market and on the field.

Good game in overall.
The team reacted very well in the second half, though the first one was miles better - probably the best first half in years.
Schalke will start the season (in Bundesliga 2) next week so they were better prepared than us physically, but probabl didnāt want to risk it a lot. We wanted the win more and some players really impressed.
Happy that Adams and Iheanacho scored, I see Adams as a good option for Almeidaās system. He tracked back and played quite well, while Iheanacho is the more tap-in type of striker, waiting for that perfect assist (like the one that was delivered to him for our third goal).
Carmona and especially Gudelj, definitely do not deserve the shirt of Sevilla. They should get out, ASAP. Thereās no hope in those two tercera division material players.
Others all have a chance and might step their game up.
Oh and Sambi was fun to watch in the first half.
On to Marseille!
