Raising my hand as the 4th person in DC area who watched the match, lol. And knowing our friend Manuel, I can imagine there was at least a 5th.
Good luck in Championship this season it aināt easy to climb in any of the big 5 of Europe so I wish you well.

Curious to how you found out about this forum.
I wasnāt sure what to expect from the game since we havenāt really signed any new guys and Almeyda has hardly had time to incorporate his ideas, but I was still disappointed. Hopefully some rust was shaken off and Almeyda and Cordon got a better idea of what positions need strengthening with money we donāt have.
Who will be the player to be sold first and get this show running? BadƩ? Dodi? Januzaj?

If I had to place a bet on a player who has been on the outs for some time to make it into the first squad, I think Iād bet on Januzaj. Not that I think heāll be amazing, but he got plenty of playing time at Las Palmas, and I suspect Almeyda may be the type to aim for a fresh start where every player has to earn a spot.

Iād say Jordan has a shot, just because of the competition currently in that position and his decent last season.

I was able to catch a replay of the game on the Sevilla website, and there were very few surprises. Thereās not much to expect out of the 1st pre-season game, but any conclusions you might have made for any players last season should still hold up.
Iāve not seen much of Alfon at Celta, but itās at least comforting that we have an option at #10 for now. I donāt know how much i trust Peque, who i think is talented, but his touch just seemed off and lost alot of balls on both sides of the pitch. We didnāt have any 1st-teamers in central midfield, but Bueno looks the most suitable for a spot (4th or 5th option). His positioning was a bit sus on that first goal, and it led to a breakdown in defence.
Speaking of which, we need a whole new cast of defenders. Cause whoever was fielded in that game will not cut it. Weāre gonna need that eventual Bade transfer to fund us a backline.
